NFL to bypass flex option, air Pack-Pats game in primetime

NEW YORK -- The Green Bay Packers at New England Patriots game Dec. 19 will remain on Sunday night.

The NFL could have moved another game into the slot under its flexible scheduling policy, but the league said Monday it wasn't making a change in Week 15 with an appealing matchup already lined up.

The Patriots are 9-2 before facing the New York Jets on Monday night and Sunday's matchup with the Chicago Bears.

The Packers are 8-4 heading into this weekend's meeting with the Detroit Lions.
