NBA's Adam Silver prepares league for HGH monitoring

The scandal over the Biogenesis lab has rocked baseball. HGH testing has been at the forefront of the NFL. However, one NBA official says that league has a handle on both of those issues.

Future NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said his league hopes to start testing for HGH soon, and he doesn't believe there is an NBA link to the Biogenesis scandal, the New York Post reported.

While the NFL has faced a tough road to get its players' association to agree to implementation of HGH testing, the NBA has faced another hurdle. The NBA's players union is going through management upheaval after the ouster of longtime leader Billy Hunter. The league then will have to negotiate implementation with the union.

However, many of the NBA's top stars already have been tested for human growth hormone if they played in the Olympics.
