Seven things to watch for on Saturday

  1. All eyes will be on Ohio State WR Braxton Miller, arguably the best overall athlete among the 14 players the Buckeyes sent to Indianapolis. Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott predicted Thursday that Miller would turn in the best 40-yard time of the Ohio State contingent, and Miller himself said at the Senior Bowl that his combine goal is a sub-4.3 time. He'll participate in every event, and it should be quite a show.
  1. One of the biggest threats to pile up multiple medals Saturday, Baylor WR Corey Coleman, won't participate in all events. He'll test in the bench press and is expected to participate in the events that measure explosiveness (broad jump, vertical jump), but he'll pass on the 40-yard dash and agility drills due to a sports hernia. Still, don't be surprised if he's a top-three finisher in the events engages in.
  1. Oregon QB Vernon Adams' size (5-11, 200) is an obvious detriment to his hopes of being drafted or making an NFL roster, but he's as athletic as any quarterback in Indianapolis. That means the combine drills need to be his personal showcase, from the 40-yard dash to the agility testing.
  1. WR Josh Doctson is TCU's top draft prospect, but the Horned Frog to watch in the 40-yard dash is Kolby Listenbee. He could blaze a gold-medal time.
  1. Who will be the fastest Notre Dame receiver? Will Fuller is a projected second-round pick whose 40-time will draw a lot of attention, but Fighting Irish WR Chris Brown was a track star in high school and should post an outstanding time as well.
  1. Arkansas TE Hunter Henry is expected to be the first tight end picked in the draft, and likely the only one with a shot at being a first-round pick, but that doesn't mean he'll outperform the field at his position. Our prediction: UCLA's Thomas Duarte will put on a show, boost his draft stock, and claim multiple medals for the Bruins.
  1. If your nickname is Hollywood, you'd better show up when the lights come on. Your "coming attraction" for Saturday: Colorado State WR Rashard "Hollywood" Higgins.
