Maryland becomes first state to back Heads Up Football program

Tuesday's Heads Up Football news:

Maryland became the first state to endorse the Heads Up Football program for all of its high schools, the Washington Post and USA Today reported.

The USA Football parents blog celebrated an Iowa team mom for her efforts behind the scenes.

The parents blog also delved into stress involving young players.

USA Football published a video in which USA Football Medical Director Dr. Patrick Kersey explained the physiology of a concussion.

WRC-TV in Washington focused on the Heads Up Football program for youth coaches coming to the area.
