Justin Gilbert tweets he'll visit Jets, Broncos, Falcons, Lions

It's a busy week for Justin Gilbert, the former Oklahoma State cornerback who is expected to be the first player chosen at his position in the NFL draft next month.

The first-round prospect tweeted that he will visit the New York Jets on Monday before traveling to see representatives from three other clubs this week.

The club that might stand out the most in that group is the Detroit Lions, who have been projected to draft Gilbert with the No. 10 overall pick by NFL Media analyst Charles Davis. Analyst Daniel Jeremiah sees Gilbert as a strong fit for the Lions as well, noting he could also help the club with his prolific skills as a kickoff returner.

The Denver Broncos hold the No. 31 overall pick, and while cornerback might well be the position Denver wants to bolster in the first round, Gilbert figures to be long gone by the time the club turns in its card. The Broncos would almost certainly have to trade up to land Gilbert.

Atlanta holds the No. 6 overall pick, while the Jets pick at No. 18.
