JoJo Kemp says Kentucky will score vs. Alabama

JoJo has gone Broadway Joe.

Alabama's vaunted defense can expect a letdown against a Kentucky team that hasn't won a Southeastern Conference game since 2011. So says Kentucky freshman running back JoJo Kemp, who guaranteed success with Joe Namath-like conviction in his comments to KSTV, which are making the rounds quickly.

"They're going to get scored on this week," said Kemp, who is the Wildcats' second-leading rusher. "I'm going to guarantee it this time."

Kentucky's offense ranks 97th in the nation at 23 points per game, while Alabama's defense is tied for fourth in the country in points allowed (12.2).

That makes Kemp's prediction a bold one.

Kemp is Kentucky's second-leading rusher with 226 yards on 33 carries -- an impressive 6.8-yard average -- and is now safely atop the roster in the talking category.

Two weeks ago, Alabama's defense took comments from Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace to be a slight, and responded with a 25-0 shutout of one of the SEC's most dangerous offenses. If Kemp's remarks end up on the bulletin board in the Crimson Tide locker room, you can bet Kemp will hear plenty about his crystal ball on Saturday.
