As the Times Square ball dropped in New York and ushered in 2014 Tuesday night, and New Year's celebrants everywhere toasted champagne, Johnny Football was enjoying a party of a different sort. At that very moment, in fact, he was on a stage atop the Georgia Dome turf, celebrating a Chick-fil-A Bowl win over Duke with teammates.
The Aggies even interrupted the game's MVP award ceremony with a New Year's countdown.
So it comes as little surprise that Manziel needed only about 24 hours to facilitate a New Year's party do-over with friend and recording artist Drake at a Miami Beach night club. Bustedcoverage.com has the photos.
Of course, there is still no word from Manziel that he will enter the 2014 NFL Draft, but suffice it to say he doesn't have his mind back on the spring academic semester just yet.
