Jay Z's Roc Nation signs Georgia star Todd Gurley

DALLAS -- Rap artist Jay Z's sports agency, Roc Nation, has added Georgia star running back Todd Gurley to its client list.

Gurley, who has declared his intention to file for early eligibility for the 2015 NFL Draft, is among the most talented juniors in college football. Roc Nation has added Gurley to the list of clients on its web site, a cast which includes Dallas Cowboys star receiver Dez Bryant, Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, NBA star Kevin Durant, and baseball stars Robinson Cano and C.C. Sabathia, among others.

The deadline for underclassmen to file for early draft eligibility is Jan. 15.

Gurley's junior season began with much promise, ripping Clemson for 198 yards to open the year and another 208 against rival Tennessee in Week 4. But Gurley's campaign was cut short by an NCAA four-game suspension for accepting payment for autographed memorabilia, and went from bad to worse in his first game following the suspension. In his return against Auburn on Nov. 15, Gurley tore his ACL in the fourth quarter and has been rehabilitating ever since.

He finished the year with 911 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in only six games. Bulldogs coach Mark Richt has said he doesn't expect Gurley's knee injury to prevent him from being a high draft pick.
