Jared Abbrederis pulls out of Senior Bowl with injury

Wisconsin wide receiver Jared Abbrederis tweeted that he won't play in Saturday's Reese's Senior Bowl because of an injury suffered in practice.

He will be replaced in the game by Missouri's L'Damian Washington.

Before the injury, Abbrederis (6-foot-0, 189 pounds) showed well during practices. "He's consistently been the best receiver on the field this week," an AFC scout said.

Abbrederis began his Wisconsin career as a walk-on quarterback, but became one of the best receivers in school history. He is a good blocker, can get deep, has good hands and is an excellent route-runner.

He is not a blazer (4.5 in the 40-yard dash), but he is fast and elusive, has shown the necessary physicality to get away from press coverage and has big-play ability as a return man.
