Representatives from all 32 NFL teams were present at Arizona State's pro day on Friday, when 13 players worked out indoors on FieldTurf.
There were six NFL position coaches in attendance, with each coach running a drill for a prospect at his respective position.
Wide receiver Jaelen Strong (6-foot-2 5.8, 219 pounds) ran the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.19 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.33 seconds. He stood on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine in the 40-yard dash (4.44 seconds), broad jump (10 feet, 3 inches) and vertical jump (42 inches, which was second-best among wide receivers at the combine). Strong went through a 56-play scripted positional workout, which was run by San Diego Chargers wide receivers coach Fred Graves. Strong did an exceptional job in the workout, catching everything thrown his way.
NFL Media analysts Lance Zierlein (to the Baltimore Ravens), Charles Davis (to the Seattle Seahawks) and Daniel Jeremiah (to the Cleveland Browns) all have Strong projected to go in the first round in their latest mock drafts.
Offensive guard Jamil Douglas (6-4 3/8, 309) did the short shuttle in 4.58 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.73 seconds. He stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. An offensive line coach from the Indianapolis Colts put Douglas through his positional workout.
Defensive end Marcus Hardison (6-3 1/4, 305) ran the 40 in 4.92 and 4.97 seconds. He had a 25 1/2-inch vertical jump and 8-foot-11 broad jump. Minnesota Vikings defensive line coach Andre Patterson put Hardison through his positional workout.
Free safety Damarious Randall (5-10 5/8, 198) did a 35-inch vertical, but that won't really count since he jumped three inches higher at the combine. Randall was a top performer at the combine in his position group in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, three-cone drill and 20-yard shuttle.
Arizona State head coach Todd Graham was very accomodating for the NFL scouts, expressing that he'd take time to talk to any team who wants to discuss a Sun Devils prospect.
