Former Tennessee RB Jalen Hurd announces transfer to Baylor

Jalen Hurd has found a new home.

The former Tennessee tailback announced Saturday that he is transferring to Baylor. Hurd will sit out the 2017 season, and will have one year of eligibility in Waco in 2018.

After an electric sophomore season that consisted of 1,288 rushing yards and 12 scores, Hurd partook in seven of Tennessee's 13 games in his junior campaign before declaring his departure from the program.

Hurd has indicated that he wants to switch positions, so look out for him to play wide receiver or even tight end at Baylor. He had 67 receptions in 33 games with the Volunteers, however his catches decreased each year in Knoxville after racking up 35 as a freshman.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound bruiser cited unhappiness with his role in Tennessee's offense as a reason behind his transfer.
