Former Seattle Seahawk wants more consistency in helmet calls

Seattle Seahawks safety Richard Shermanwrote an essay for TheMMQB.com last week that said players know the risks of participating in football.

In light of that article, The Tacoma News Tribune talked to former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Dave Wyman about the players' mentality toward concussions. Among other things, Wyman said he wants more consistent regulation of hits.

The same publication talked to current Seahawks players, concluding that changing the concussion mentality is up to the players. That's a belief shared by Seahawks coach Pete Carroll.
