Ex-soldier Josh McNary makes NFL debut for Indianapolis Colts

Josh McNary was a star linebacker at Army. After serving his two-year military term, he pursued his dream of playing in the NFL.

Colts.com reported that that McNary was recently promoted to the Indianapolis Colts' 53-man roster. And on Sunday he played in a regular season game for the first time in three years.

He received the call-up after spending 12 weeks on the Colts' practice squad. On Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, he played in his first game since the Armed Forces Bowl in 2010, registering one quarterback hit.

Days before the game, he tried to put the promotion in perspective.

After the game, he told the Indianapolis Star that he could feel a difference in the speed of the pro game.
