Dolphins' Crowder ruled out with groin injury

DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder is sidelined again, a setback in his attempt to recover from a groin injury that has kept him out all season.

Coach Tony Sparano said Crowder missed practice Friday and was sent to a doctor for evaluation.

Crowder returned to practice on a limited basis last week and assumed a more expanded role Wednesday. The injury first sidelined him in mid-August.

Tim Dobbins and Bobby Carpenter have shared duties at inside linebacker in Crowder's absence. The Dolphins host New England on Monday.
