Davis mock: Johnny Manziel will go fourth, to Cleveland Browns

South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney will go first and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel fourth in the first round Thursday night. That is if NFL Media analyst Charles Davis' vision is correct.

Davis' final mock draft also has seven offensive tackles and five cornerbacks and wide receivers going in the first round.

Davis has Clowney as the first pick, "whether it's Houston making the selection or a team that traded into this slot."

He has Manziel going fourth, to Cleveland, and writes, "Keep hearing the Browns want their QB at pick No. 26, but Johnny Football is a splash pick that won't wait." Browns owner Jimmy Haslam reportedly is quite enamored with Manziel.

Some other takeaways from Davis' mock draft:

» The most popular position is offensive tackle, but Davis' order might surprise some people. He has Auburn's Greg Robinson as the first one off the board, at No. 2 to St. Louis. But he has Michigan's Taylor Lewan going second among the tackles, at No. 6 to Atlanta. Texas A&M's Jake Matthews is the third tackle off the board, at No. 12 to the New York Giants, followed by Notre Dame's Zack Martin, Alabama's Cyrus Kouandjio, Virginia's Morgan Moses and Nevada's Joel Bitonio.

» As with most analysts, Davis sees five corners going in the round -- but one of Davis' quintet might surprise you. The first four, in order: Oklahoma State's Justin Gilbert (10th to Detroit), Virginia Tech's Kyle Fuller (11th to Tennessee), Michigan State's Darqueze Dennard (22nd to Philadelphia) and Ohio State's Bradley Roby (24th to Cincinnati). Davis' fifth corner: Nebraska's Stanley Jean-Baptiste, 27th to New Orleans.

» Davis has two wide receivers in the top seven: Clemson's Sammy Watkins to Jacksonville at No. 3 and Texas A&M's Mike Evans to Tampa Bay at No. 7. His next receiver comes off the board at No. 15, with Pittsburgh selecting LSU's Odell Beckham Jr. Davis also has Brandin Cooks (18th to the New York Jets) and USC's Marqise Lee (23rd to Kansas City) in the first round.

» He has two quarterbacks in the first round, with UCF's Blake Bortles (20th to Arizona) joining Manziel.

» Davis has Louisville's Calvin Pryor going before Alabama's Ha Ha Clinton-Dix among the safeties.

» Martin is one of three Notre Dame players Davis has in the first round, with NT Louis Nix III (No. 25 to San Diego) and DE Stephon Tuitt (No. 30 to San Francisco) the others.

» Davis has an inside linebacker (Alabama's C.J. Mosley) and a tight end (North Carolina's Eric Ebron) going in the top 10.

» Davis has Super Bowl-champion Seattle taking UCLA G Xavier Su'a-Filo with the final pick of the first round, saying Su'a-Filo's physical nature is a perfect fit for the Seahawks.
