#CFBTop25: No. 10, Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama

Alabama once again has a heaping helping of NFL-caliber talent, and junior offensive tackle Cam Robinson is one of the team's top prospects this season.

Robinson is the latest standout from a program that has churned out seven offensive linemen who have been drafted (including three first-rounders) in the last four years. If Alabama steamrolls toward another national championship, it will be Robinson paving the way. Robinson -- whose offseason arrest will give NFL teams something to investigate whenever he enters the league -- landed on the preseason watch lists for the Outland Trophy and the Rotary Lombardi Award.

Pulling back the curtain on the vote

Robinson earned votes from five of seven CFB 24/7 analysts, including four in the top 10. Robinson is the highest-rated of two offensive linemen to appear on the #CFBTop25 countdown.

What some of our analysts are saying about Robinson

"Robinson is a dominant run blocker and he has the athleticism to match up with elite edge rushers in the SEC." -- Daniel Jeremiah

"Many believe he's the best OL in CFB, and they make a great case. Tremendous footwork, hands, and ability to pass protect and run block." -- Charles Davis

"Try this for battle-tested: Robinson's two-year career has included head-to-head action against Dante Fowler, Joey Bosa, Shaq Lawson, Shane Ray, Myles Garrett, Derek Barnett, Danielle Hunter, Preston Smith and Trey Flowers." -- Chase Goodbread

"The three-year starter is simply difficult to beat around the edge because of his massive frame and long arms. Continued improvement in his technique will earn him awards after the 2016 season." -- Chad Reuter

Where do fans rank Robinson?

We asked Twitter users who they considered the best player in college football. It came as little surprise that Robinson did not receive a vote. Offensive linemen rarely perform well in fan votes, just as fans generally don't get super excited on draft day if their respective NFL team uses a first-round selection on a O-lineman. While most fans focus on the running back hitting the hole for a score, scouts take their eyes off the ball and notice who it was that helped make that play happen.
