The Aggies' left tackle is a potential first-round draft pick who is regarded as college football's top senior tackle by NFL Media analysts Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks. Ogbuehi identified Ford as the toughest pass rusher he had to face last season. He had a first-hand look at Miller in 2010, when the two were teammates in what was Ogbuehi's first season in the Aggies' program, and Miller's last.
"He's kind of like Von. (They) both had the burst off the edge, and the power, too, so he's a really good player," Ogbuehi said.
Ogbuehi should know.
Ford's profile as one of the nation's top pass rushers took its biggest forward step of last season in College Station, when he sacked star quarterback Johnny Manziel twice in a three-play sequence to clinch an upset road win for the Tigers. Both sacks came against Ogbuehi. Ford went on to lead Auburn in sacks (10.5), tackles for loss (14.5) and quarterback hurries (17). There is also a size comparison to be made between he and Miller, who has amassed 35 career sacks in just three NFL seasons. Miller is listed at 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, while Ford is 6-2, 240.
