Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford are Week 8's best

On the final drive of the game, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson teamed up to spearhead Sunday's 31-30 comeback win over the Dallas Cowboys. The dynamic duo's heroic performance in the closing seconds earned both players this week's "Performance Moment of the Week," presented by Bridgestone.

Johnson's moment occurred with 33 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. As the Lions trailed Dallas 30-24, Stafford dropped back to pass from the Cowboys' 23-yard line and hit Johnson on a seam route in between two defenders. The intrepid receiver powered his way to the 1-yard line, but because he was tackled inbounds, the clock continued to run.

Enter Stafford. With the Lions out of timeouts, the signal-caller motioned to his offense that he would spike the ball on the next play to stop the clock. However, on first-and-goal, the crafty Stafford caught the Cowboys' defense off-guard by taking the snap and diving into the end zone with 14 seconds left to tie the game. David Akers' ensuing extra point gave the Lions the lead for good.

Following the last-minute victory, the Lions rose to 5-3 and enhanced their hopes of making the postseason.
