Bucs place Crowell on injured reserve, sign two

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed linebacker Angelo Crowell on injured reserve and signed cornerback Darrell Hunter and linebacker Bo Ruud.

A torn biceps ended Crowell's season during last weekend's 24-23 preseason victory at Jacksonville. He signed with the Bucs as a free agent in March after spending six seasons with the Buffalo Bills.

Hunter is a former Tampa Bay practice squad player who spent a portion of last season on the New Orleans Saints' practice squad.

Ruud is the younger brother of Bucs starting middle linebacker Barrett Ruud. He was a sixth-round draft pick of the New England Patriots in 2008.
