Broncos safety Dawkins inactive vs. Patriots with neck injury

Safety Brian Dawkins is among the Denver Broncos' inactives for Saturday night's AFC Divisional Playoff Game against the New England Patriots.

Dawkins has been dealing with a season-long neck injury and did not play in last week's wild-card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also missed the regular-season finale vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wide receiver Eric Decker, who suffered a knee injury in last week's win, is also inactive.

Broncos long-snapper Lonie Paxton did not make the trip to New England in order to care for his wife, who is experiencing complications related to her pregnancy. The Broncos signed longtime San Diego Chargers long-snapper David Binn on Friday to replace Paxton, who also played for the Patriots from 2000 to 2008.

Other Broncos inactives include linebacker Mike Mohamed, offensive tackle Ryan Harris, tight end Julius Thomas and defense end Derrick Harvey.

Patriots linebacker Gary Guyton was a healthy scratch as he was not listed on the team's injury report. Offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer will miss his sixth straight game with a back injury.
