Bills make roster switch by adding Roosevelt, cutting Switzer

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills shuffled their practice squad Wednesday by re-signing wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt and releasing center Michael Switzer.

Roosevelt rejoins the team after being one of the final cuts last weekend. The University at Buffalo product had nine catches for 139 yards in six games as a rookie last season after opening the year on the Bills' practice squad.

Switzer was an undrafted rookie out of Ball State.

The Bills also reached an injury settlement to release linebacker Jammie Kirlew, who had been placed on injured reserve last weekend.

The moves were announced Wednesday.

Reserve defensive tackle Torell Troup left practice and didn't return after hurting his lower back. That leaves his status uncertain for Buffalo's season opener at Kansas City on Sunday.
