Bengals sign tight end to one year deal

The Bengals today signed free agent TE Erik Jensen to a one-year contract.

Jensen (6-2, 259; Iowa) is classified a second-year NFL player in 2007. He entered the NFL in 2004 as a seventh-round draft choice of St. Louis and spent his rookie year on the Reserve/Injured list. He was on the San Francisco and Pittsburgh practice squads in 2005. In 2006, he was with Dallas in preseason and was waived Aug. 23.

He was not with an NFL team in 2007 prior to today's signing.
