The Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to terms on a contract with free-agent offensive lineman Travelle Wharton, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported Saturday.

Wharton, who was cut by the Carolina Panthers after eight seasons with the franchise, also had visited the Rams on Thursday and Friday, per the Enquirer.

Wharton started all 16 games last season with the Panthers -- 15 at left guard. Wharton also has shown flexibility throughout his NFL career, occasionally filling in at tackle while with the Panthers.
