The Crimson Tide's vacant offensive coordinator position is vacant no more.
Alabama is hiring New England Patriots tight ends coach Brian Daboll to be their offensive coordinator, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of the school's decision.
Daboll will replace Steve Sarkisian, who left earlier this month to become the Atlanta Falcons' offensive coordinator. Sarkisian was the Crimson Tide's OC for just one game -- the College Football Playoff National Championship game. Sarkisian assumed the role following the announcement of then-OC Lane Kiffin's departure for Florida Atlantic University.
