AJ McCarron says Grammy performances were 'demonic'

Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron skipped the Reese's Senior Bowl -- and in his hometown of Mobile, Ala., no less -- because he said he was advised to rest his body after the rigors of the season.

Perhaps another reason was to get some practice as a social critic.

McCarron watched the Grammy Awards on Sunday night and evidently didn't like what he saw:

He opened himself up to a lot of snark with that tweet, which came relatively early in the show. The main one, of course: "Grammy Awards" and "evil" don't really fit in the same sentence. Presumably, he was bothered by some of the suggestive lyrics and dancing done on the show. But is that really "evil"?

Plus, what's he doing watching the Grammys, anyway? Who in the world watches the Grammy Awards? Well, let's rephrase that: Who in the world who considers himself or herself hip watches the Grammy Awards? Did McCarron want to see Pink, or Lorde, or Macklemore, or Daft Punk?

Instead, McCarron could have watched game tape or the Pro Bowl.

Regardless, his pro day workout at Alabama, his combine performances and his individual workouts/interviews with teams will be some of the more heavily scrutinized pre-draft happenings this year.
