The agent of Brandon Marshall downplayed reports of possible legal trouble for the receiver, who was recently traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Chicago Bears.

"He's fine, and he's going to be fine," Kennard McGuire told the Chicago Sun-Times Wednesday. "Honestly, we're focused on the trade, and him being in Chicago and coming in and being a part of a team that's winning."
After the blockbuster deal Tuesday, in which the Bears gave the Dolphins two third-round draft picks, the New York Post reported Marshall allegedly hit a woman in the face outside a club in New York.
McGuire implied that the allegations did not factor into the timing of the swap, saying that he and Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland "have always stayed in contact on Brandon."
McGuire added: "I give Jeff a tremendous amount of credit for working with me. He and I have always been aligned with what we were wanting and looking for with Brandon. That's being a part of a situation that works with his skill set and what he brings to an organization."
McGuire echoed Marshall's attorney, Harvey Steinberg, who insisted on Marshall's innocence via a statement tweeted by Fox Sports insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer.
"Let's not forget that Brandon and his wife are victims," McGuire told the Sun-Times Wednesday. "Brandon has my unflinching and unwavering support."
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who played with Marshall when both were members of the Denver Broncos, also stood up for Marshall, telling ESPN 1000 that the receiver is "a good guy."
