Glenn Dorsey of Kansas City Chiefs placed on injured reserve

The Kansas City Chiefs have placed defensive end Glenn Dorsey on the injured-reserve list, ending his season, according to a source who has spoken with the player.

Dorsey is expected to leave Kansas City after the season. He will be a free agent. The 27-year-old Dorsey has been fighting a calf injury all season. He had seven tackles in four games.

Dorsey was selected by the Chiefs fifth overall in the 2008 NFL Draft and signed a five-year, $51 million contract with $23 million guaranteed.
