RB Darren Sproles took a short pass from QB Philip Rivers and scampered for a 58-yard touchdown to put the Chargers ahead 27-7 in midway through the third quarter.

Chargers WR Vincent Jackson accumulated all of his stats in a first half to remember. Propelled by a pair of 51-yard bombs, Jackson put up 142 receiving yards -- most ever by a Charger in the first half -- and caught a first-quarter touchdown that put San Diego up 14-0.
Key Stat
Chiefs QB Matt Cassel had gone 132 straight pass attempts without an interception in his previous four games. Against the Chargers, Cassel was 10 of 25 for 97 yards and three interceptions, all in the second half when Kansas City needed to mount a comeback.
