The Cardinals cut the Vikings' lead to 28-14 in the third quarter, but Bobby Wade's 59-yard touchdown bomb from Tarvaris Jackson quelled Arizona's momentum.

Jackson started in place of the injured Gus Frerotte and threw four touchdowns to lead the Vikings. Jackson's 41-yard strike Bernard Berrian in the first quarter was perfectly thrown just outside of the defender's reach and set the tone for Minnesota.
