Mario Williams recorded his third sack of the game and forced a David Garrard fumble that Houston recovered at Jacksonville's 7-yard line. Steve Slaton then sprinted into the end zone to give the Texans an insurmountable 23-3 lead with just under five minutes to play.

WR Andre Johnson scored a 31-yard touchdown on the Texans' opening drive to establish the tone. His presence also forced the Jaguars to drop back more into coverage and opened up the field for Slaton, who finished with 130 yards and two touchdowns.
