Titans K Rob Bironas made his second field goal of the third quarter with 2:24 remaining to put the Titans ahead, 41-10. Detroit scored a touchdown just before the half to cut Tennessee's lead to 35-10, giving the Lions some hope going into halftime, but Tennessee continued its Thanksgiving dominance in the second half.

Titans rookie RB Chris Johnson ran past the Lions defense all game long, setting the tone with two first-quarter touchdowns, including a 58-yard sprint. He finished the game with 125 yards on just 16 carries (7.8 yards per carry) and added two catches for 9 yards.

Tennessee had a 34:54-23:06 time-of-possession advantage, thanks in large part to its success -- and Detroit's failure -- on third downs. The Titans were 8-for-16 on third down, while Detroit went 0-11, allowing Tennessee to continue drives and keep Detroit's defense on the field.
