Pierre Thomas broke through a gaping hole and scampered 31 yards into the end zone for a touchdown. The score put New Orleans up 51-29 and flattened any hopes the Packers had of mounting some miraculous fourth-quarter comeback.

Drew Brees was nearly flawless after throwing an incompletion on his first pass, completing 20 of 26 passes with four touchdowns on the night. In the first half, the game was a shootout with him and Aaron Rodgers trading blows, but in the second half, Brees continued to shred the Packers, while Rodgers blinked and made a few costly mistakes.
Key stat
The Saints averaged 11.7 yards per pass play -- an incredibly high number. The stat goes to show how explosive the New Orleans passing attack was against a Green Bay secondary that had been considered one of the league's elite.
