Ben Roethlisberger scrambled 14 yards and dove into the end zone for a touchdown with 2:15 remaining, to put the Steelers ahead, 27-10. Roethlisberger led Pittsburgh on the 11-play drive that took up 4:32 and ended in his touchdown run after the Bengals had cut the lead to 20-10.

Linebacker James Farrior led a dominant defensive effort by Pittsburgh. Farrior made 11 tackles, including two big third-and-1 stops when Cincinnati tried to run right at the Steelers defense. Farrior and the Steelers defense held the Bengals to 208 total yards, 30 less than their league-leading 238.1 yards per game.
Key stat
Coming into their meeting with the Bengals, the Steelers had given up the fourth-most sacks (35) in the NFL, and Roethlisberger was the most-sacked quarterback in the league (32, tied with Matt Cassel and J.T. O'Sullivan). But the Steelers kept Roethlisberger safe all game, not allowing a sack for just the second time all season.
Noteworthy
Roethlisberger won the 47th game of his five-year career, passing John Elway for the most through a quarterback's first five seasons. He is now just one win behind Otto Graham, Dan Marino and Tom Brady for the most since 1950 (Graham's fifth season). ... Entering the game, the Steelers defense had given up nine total points in third quarters this season. They shut out the Bengals in the third quarter. ... The Bengals converted all three of their third downs attempts during their lone TD drive, but went just 1-for-12 on third down the rest of the game.
