Brett Favre threw his career-high sixth touchdown pass to give the Jets a 54-35 lead with less than 2 minutes left. The game appeared over prior to that point as New York took a 34-0 lead into halftime, but the Cardinals rallied in the second half to give themselves a chance.
Game ball
Favre started 1-of-4, including an ill-advised interception, but rebounded in a big way. Not only did he throw the six touchdowns, but he completed passes to eight different receivers and took care of the ball after the early pick.
Key stat
Kurt Warner put up some impressive passing statistics, but had six turnovers. He fumbled the ball four times, losing three, and also tossed three interceptions.

Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin suffered a helmet-to-helmet hit late in the game and was immobile on the field. He was carted off the field. ... Boldin (119 receiving yards) was one of three Cardinals receivers with more than 100 yards. Steve Breaston and Larry Fitzgerald each had 122. ...
