It was over when ...
David Thorton intercepted Brodie Croyle's pass with 4:15 left in the game to end a Chiefs' modest scoring threat. The Titans took a 26-17 lead on Rob Bironas' 25-yard field goal with under six minutes left in the fourth quarter, forcing the Chiefs to become one-dimensional.

John Rieger / US PRESSWIRE
LenDale White paced the the Titans with 93 rushing yards on 24 attempts.

Game ball
Receiver Roydell Williams matched his season total with two touchdown receptions for the Titans. The second was a 41-yarder with the Titans trailing, 14-13, that gave Tennessee the lead for good. Williams finished with four receptions for 94 yards.

Key stat
Quarterback Vince Young completed 16-of-26 passes for 191 yards, but more importantly, did not thrown an interception as the Titans won the turnover battle 3-0. Young rebounded from a forgettable game last week, when he threw two interceptions.

Noteworthy
The Titans stayed in the playoff race, but remained a game behind the Cleveland Browns, who defeated the Buffalo Bills.
