Texans sign veteran cornerback Poole

The Houston Texans added some veteran depth to their secondary on Tuesday, signing 13-year veteran cornerback Tyrone Poole. The NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Texans and Poole have agreed to a one-year deal.

Originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers, Poole was the 22nd overall pick in the 1995 NFL Draft. He started 13 games for the Panthers in 1995.

In addition to the Panthers, Poole has played for Indianapolis, Denver, New England and Oakland Poole last played played in 2006, when he totaled 15 tackles, one sack and one interception in 12 games for the Raiders.
