Streaks
The Jets have won three consecutive games against the Raiders, but Oakland leads the all-time series, 19-14-2.

Last week
Thomas Jones had three touchdowns as the Jets defeated the Bengals, 26-14. ... The Raiders could not get started in New Orleans, losing to the Saints, 34-3.

Keep your eye on ...
A different shade of Green, same Favre: Brett Favre is 4-0 against the Raiders, having thrown for 1,188 yards and 11 touchdowns. Favre threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Packers to a 38-7 win over the Raiders last season. He passed for 399 yards and four touchdowns a day after his father's death in 2003, leading the Packers to an emotional 41-7 victory over the Raiders on Monday Night Football.

Jets keeping Pace: Linebacker Calvin Pace has made an immediate impact on the Jets after signing with the team as a free agent in the offseason. Pace is third on the Jets with 25 tackles, leads the team with five tackles for loss and is third on the team with 3.5 sacks. Pace also has six quarterback pressures, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one pass breakup.

A committment to the run: The Raiders struggled running the football last week against the Saints and face another tough test against the third-ranked Jets' rushing defense. But look for the Raiders to try to establish the run, as coach Tom Cable doesn't want quarterback JaMarcus Russell attempting 35 passes like he did at New Orleans.
