NFL Network is No. 1 in value for viewers

Viewers rank NFL Network tops in satisfaction and importance to their enjoyment of satellite service for third consecutive year.

NFL Network again proved its value as a leading network earning top honors among viewers in the 2008 Beta Satellite Dish Subscriber Study released.

For the third consecutive year, NFL Network was the top-ranking network in several categories in the survey conducted among satellite television subscribers.

Among all measured networks (major and mid-sized/emerging), NFL Network ranked:

» No. 1 in average perceived value among viewers.

Among mid-sized and emerging networks, NFL Network ranked:

» No. 1 in viewers rating the network as important to their enjoyment of satellite service (83 percent).*

» No. 1 in viewers very satisfied with the channel (70 percent).*

» No. 2 in total men (37 percent), teens (56 percent) and persons age 12-24 (50 percent) rating NFL Network as important to their enjoyment of satellite.*

» No. 2 in average perceived value among total men, adults 18-34, adults 18-49, DirecTV subscribers surveyed.

» No. 3 in average perceived value among all Dish Network subscribers surveyed.

"These results prove that the NFL Network continues to be one of the most popular networks with fans," said Kim Williams, COO, NFL Network. "The study shows the value of the year-round programming on the NFL Network."

The 2008 Beta Satellite Dish Subscriber study is conducted in April over the phone by the Beta Research Corporation among a national sample of 600 adults and 100 teens of households who subscribe to DirecTV or EchoStar.
