Gregg Rosenthal's Top 10 players of 2015

We at Around The NFL are offering up our own top 10 selections. Please note that NFL players had zero input in the creation of these lists. So they should make a lot more sense.

» This isn't a "most valuable players" list. Obviously, Rodgers would be the pick to start a team. I'd rather have at least five quarterbacks over Watt. But Watt is not only the best at what he does; he's the best defensive player of the last 20 years.

» Gronk, like Watt, has opened up a big gap between himself and the rest of his position. He's the biggest matchup nightmare in football because he forces defenses into mismatches no matter what personnel they use. He still excels as a blocker.

» Roethlisberger has always been an underrated, top-five quarterback. Now he's in a system which is numbers-friendly, so everyone realizes.

» Houston makes the list because he's a complete player despite his low profile. He is an excellent run-stuffer in addition to being a top-five pass rusher. I considered Cameron Wake.

» Peterson and Megatron are in the same class of player. They are the best at what they do until proven otherwise. Expect a vintage Peterson season that reminds everyone he's one of the greatest of all time.
