Bengals re-sign CB Ratliff to help decimated secondary

CINCINNATI -- Cornerback Keiwan Ratliff has rejoined the Bengals, whose secondary is depleted by injuries.

Ratliff signed with his former team Wednesday. He was a free agent after finishing the season with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League.

Ratliff was the Bengals' second-round draft pick out of Florida in 2004. He played in 51 games, starting eight of them, through 2007. He later was on the rosters of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Bengals signed Ratliff for their playoff loss to the Jets last season, then released him.
