Bengals QB Joe Burrow, 49ers QB Brock Purdy highlight Players of the Week

Who were the NFL's top stars in Week 16? Each Wednesday, the league unveils its weekly honor roll. See who the Players of the Week are below.

AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Joe Burrow
Cincinnati Bengals · QB

Burrow returned to form in a big way on Sunday to lead the Bengals to a 45-21 win over the Miami Dolphins. Burrow completed 25 of his 32 passes (78.1%) for 309 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions for a 146.5 rating. This is Burrow's eighth career AFC Player of the Week, but his first this season.

NFC Offensive Player of the Week

Brock Purdy
San Francisco 49ers · QB

Purdy was close to perfect on a magnificent Monday night, completing 25 of 34 passes (73.5%) for 295 yards and a career-best five touchdowns with an interception and a 126.8 rating to lead the 49ers to a 48-27 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. This is only Purdy's second career Offensive Player of the Week and his first since 2023.

AFC Defensive Player of the Week

Derek Stingley Jr.
Houston Texans · CB

The Texans defense has been Houston's catalyst all season, so when the offense struggled Sunday, Stingley took it upon himself to light up the scoreboard, streaking for six on a 31-yard interception return in the team's 23-21 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. In addition, Stingley had a pair of tackles and forced a fumble. Stingley has now earned three career AFC Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

NFC Defensive Player of the Week

Cooper DeJean
Philadelphia Eagles · CB

DeJean played a vital role in the Eagles' 29-18 win over the Washington Commanders on Saturday that clinched the NFC East title. He had four tackles, four pass breakups and an interception in the third quarter.

AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Logan Cooke
Jacksonville Jaguars · P

For much of the Jaguars' impressive 34-20 win on Sunday against the Denver Broncos, their offense was humming, but Cooke still had ample opportunity to turn in an outstanding outing. Cooke punted six times, pinning the Broncos inside the 20-yard line four times, twice inside the 10 and once inside the 5. He averaged 52 yards per punt with a long of 63.

NFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Cairo Santos
Chicago Bears · K

Santos piled up the points in the Bears' 29-18 overtime win over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, but his clutch onside kick after his third field goal was one of the biggest reasons Chicago was able to win in OT.
