Philadelphia Eagles

"I don't believe much in destiny, and then I saw the 2017 Eagles." - Kyle Brandt

One year after a 7-9 season and a last place finish in the NFC East, the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles surprised the NFL by winning the franchise’s first Super Bowl. Coached by Doug Pederson, the Eagles went 13-3, blew out the Vikings 38-7 in the NFC Championship and won an exciting, high-scoring Super Bowl against the Patriots, 41-33. The Eagles started the season 10-1 and were well-balanced, ranking third in the league in points per game (28.6) and fourth in points allowed (18.4). Despite not featuring a single 1,000-yard rusher or receiver, the Eagles offense was efficient during the regular season thanks in large part to 25-year-old Pro Bowl QB Carson Wentz, who threw 33 TD passes and seven interceptions in 13 games. But when Wentz went down with a torn ACL in Week 14, quarterback Nick Foles came up big in the playoffs. Foles threw for 352 yards and 3 TDs in the NFC Championship and for 373 yards and 3 TDs in Super Bowl LII, along with catching the infamous "Philly Special" and winning the game’s MVP.
