Emmitt Smith

"He really exhibited any quality that you needed, at any given time." - Barry Sanders

Emmitt Smith is the NFL’s all-time leading rusher, with 18,355 yards, and has the most rushing touchdowns in league history, with 164. Playing for the Cowboys from 1990 to 2002 and later the Cardinals, Smith led the NFL four times in rushing, won three Super Bowls in the 1990s and was named Super Bowl XXVIII MVP. Smith was unique in that at just 5-foot-9 and not incredibly fast, he relied on toughness, determination, consistency, and durability to rack up huge numbers, playing at least 14 games in all but 1 of 15 NFL seasons. The 17th overall pick out of Florida in the 1990 Draft, Smith went on to make eight Pro Bowls and in 2010 he was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
