Hall of Fame Broncos quarterback John Elway accomplished many feats during his NFL career, but he was best known as an artist of the fourth quarter comeback. Including the playoffs, Elway orchestrated 35 of them during a 16-year career, the most famous of which, “The Drive,” occurred during the 1986 AFC Championship against the Browns. A much-hyped QB coming out of Stanford, the 6-foot-3 Elway was the first overall pick of the Baltimore Colts in 1983 but was traded to Denver. Elway made nine Pro Bowls, won the 1987 MVP and passed for over 50,000 yards. The Broncos QB started in five Super Bowls, winning two; those victories came in his final two seasons. Elway later moved to the personnel side, winning a Super Bowl as GM of the Denver Broncos.
