Roger Staubach

"From as far back as I can remember, I wanted to be Roger Staubach." - Brett Favre

Roger Staubach, known as Captain Comeback, was the quarterback, leader, and most popular player of the great Dallas Cowboys teams of the 1970s. A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Staubach won two Super Bowls, made six Pro Bowls and was a Super Bowl MVP. With an 85-29 record as a starting quarterback, Staubach built a reputation as a clutch late game performer and threw what many consider the first ever "Hail Mary" in the 1975 NFC Divisional Round. A 1963 Heisman Trophy winner who served in the Navy and in Vietnam, Staubach became a symbol of the wholesome All-American athlete.
