Don Shula’s 328 wins are the most of any coach in NFL history. As coach of the Baltimore Colts in the 1960s, he had winning records in each of his seven seasons and he won over three-fourths of his games. As Dolphins’ coach from 1970 to 1995, he had a losing record just twice and won back-to-back Super Bowl titles in the 1972 and 1973 seasons; in 1972 he coached the Dolphins to the only perfect season in the Super Bowl era. Born in Grand River, Ohio in 1930, Shula was an NFL defensive back in the 1950s before becoming a coach. Shula coached two of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time, Johnny Unitas and Dan Marino, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997.

Jack Nicklaus is one of the greatest golfers of all time. Known as “The Golden Bear,” he won a record six Masters and 18 major titles – and captured 70 official PGA Tour events between 1962 and 1986. An Ohio native, Nicklaus grew up rooting for the Browns, but moved to Florida and has had Dolphins seasons tickets since 1966. In 2018, the Dolphins signed Nicklaus’ grandson, tight end Nick O’Leary, a former Buffalo Bill and all-American at Florida State. When O’Leary first took the field for Miami with his grandfather looking on, “I was tickled pink,” Nicklaus said.
