Tracking major injuries from Week 4 in NFL

Baltimore Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson cleared concussion protocol after exiting the game in the first half against the Pittsburgh Steelers for further evaluation. Watson returned to the game in the team's 26-9 loss to the Steelers.

Ravens linebacker Matt Judon injured his ankle and did not return.

Other injuries we're tracking on this Week 4 Sunday:

  1. Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jonesexited the game after suffering a hip injury. Jones did not return to the game against the Buffalo Bills. Receiver Mohamed Sanu exited the game due to a hamstring injury.
  1. Minnesota Vikings rookie running back Dalvin Cook suffered a non-contact knee injury in the second half vs. the Lions and was quickly ruled out by the team. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report the Vikings' initial diagnosis indicates Cook suffered a torn ACL.
  1. Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariotainjured his hamstring in the team's loss the Texans. Mike Mularkey says Mariota will undergo an MRI.
  1. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr left with a back injury suffered late in the third quarter vs. the Broncos. He did not return.

Cornerback David Amerson did not return due to a concussion.

Wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who is dealing with a lung bruise, did not play against the Denver Broncos. Receiver Marquise Goodwin is out after sustaining a concussion. Safety Adrian Colbert is also out with a hamstring injury.

  1. Seattle Seahawks starting cornerback Jeremy Lane was ruled out after suffering a hip injury against Indianapolis. Linebacker Cliff Avrildid not return with a neck injury.

Running back Chris Carson was carted off during the fourth quarter with what coach Pete Carroll later called a "significant" ankle injury. Offensive lineman Rees Odhiambo went to the hospital with a chest injury. Carroll said he had trouble breathing but that his signs were stable.

  1. Indianapolis Colts center Deyshawn Bond was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury in the first quarter and did not return. against the Seahawks. Bond was filling in for injured center Ryan Kelly and was replaced by second-year guard Adam Redmond.
  1. New Orleans Saints rookie linebacker Alex Anzalone has been ruled out after suffering a shoulder injury in the first quarter against the Dolphins. Right tackle Zach Strief was carted off the field after suffering an undisclosed injury.
  1. San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde, whose hip bothered him through last week's 25 carries, was active against the Cardinals.
  1. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown (quad) was active against the 49ers. 
  1. Houston Texans running back Tyler Ervinexited the game after suffering a knee injury.
  1. Detroit Lions linebacker Paul Worrilow was carted off the field with his left knee wrapped. Worrilow did not return to the game.
  1. New England Patriots defensive back Eric Rowe suffered a groin injury in the team's loss to Carolina. Linebacker Elandon Roberts suffered an ankle injury. 
  1. Carolina Panthers veteran safety Kurt Coleman suffered a knee injury against the Patriots.
  1. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jordan Matthews exited the game against the Falcons after suffering a thumb injury. Cornerback EJ Gaines suffered a groin injury.
  1. New York Jets cornerback Darryl Roberts and linebacker Darron Lee suffered respective hamstring and ankle injuries.
  1. New York Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon suffered an ankle against the Buccaneers. 
  1. Los Angeles Chargers guard Matt Slauson hurt his triceps in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
