Roethlisberger matches Bradshaw's franchise wins mark

How did this week's air and ground performances stack up to the epic performances of yesterday?

FedEx Air nominees

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw played 14 seasons for the Steelers and won 107 games as the starting quarterback. Roethlisberger is in his 12th season with the team, and matched Bradshaw's career wins total after a 43-18 demolition of the San Francisco 49ers at Heinz Field.

Roethlisberger accumulated 369 passing yards in the win, and that is the most passing yards in Steelers history on 27 or fewer pass attempts.

Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Brady continued his mastery of the Buffalo Bills in a 40-32 win. That gave Brady 24 career wins over the Bills, the second most for a quarterback against a single opponent since 1950. Sunday's win passed Brett Favre's 23 wins over the Chicago Bears during the ol' gunslinger's time with the Green Bay Packers. Brady could have the most wins against a single opponent by next season. Favre's 26 wins over the Detroit Lions during his time in Green Bay is easily within Brady's reach.

Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders
Carr directed a Raiders offense that scored 37 points in a win over the Baltimore Ravens. That was the highest point total for the Raiders since a 39-23 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 15 of the 2010 season. The quarterbacks that day? Jason Campbell for the Raiders vs. Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos. Also noteworthy about that game ... it was the last time Denver lost a divisional road game, a streak of 12 consecutive road wins vs. AFC West rivals is the best in NFL history.

FedEx Ground nominees

Matt Jones, Washington Redskins
Jones -- the Redskins' third-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft -- is the Redskins' first rookie running back with multiple rushing touchdowns in the same game since Alfred Morris hit paydirt three times in Week 16 of the 2012 season.

Giovani Bernard, Cincinnati Bengals
Bernard's 123-yard rushing game in a 24-19 win over the San Diego Chargers moved the third-year running back past Ickey Woods (1,561 yards to 1,525) on the franchise's all-time rushing yardage leader list.

Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
Peterson earned his 43rd 100-yard rushing game of his career in a 26-16 win over the Detroit Lions. Peterson's yards-per-game average (97.7) is ranked third all-time in NFL history, just ahead of Terrell Davis' 97.5 and behind Barry Sanders' 99.8. The incomparable Jim Brown tops the list at 104.3.
