Tom Brady has been asked a lot about his former understudies this week.
"He has everything it takes physically and mentally to play the position," said Brady told Cleveland.com in and email exchange. "He loves football and works hard at getting better."
The fact that Brady is even willing to respond to a reporter's inquiry about another team's quarterback tells you what Brady thinks of Hoyer.
"We talked football whenever we were around one another, but he was solely responsible for his work ethic and improvements over the years," Brady said.
Brady said he texted Hoyer after last week's game.
"I just congratulated him on the first of many, except when we play them (Dec. 8 in New England)," Brady said.
Count Brady among those who believe Hoyer will keep the starting job in Cleveland this season.
Poor Brandon Weeden, even other team's quarterbacks are against him.
