Can Dallas Cowboys make a run in NFC East?

The Dallas Cowboys sport a losing record through nine games, but that won't prevent the pundits from linking the team to a playoff run.

Whole lotta intrigue in Week 11, including the latest installment of Ravens vs. Steelers. Elliot Harrison provides his picks. **More ...**

With the New York Giants (6-4) on a two-game skid and Dallas (4-5) set to play five of its final seven games at home starting Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, the NFC East is up for grabs.

"A couple of weeks ago, I thought the Giants were going to run away with this thing," Kurt Warner said on "NFL GameDay Morning" "The problem with the NFC East? The problem is that everybody is inconsistent."

This feels a tad familiar. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is 20-3 in November, while Eli Manning and the Giants have struggled annually close to Turkey Day before turning it on late. For Dallas to fend off New York, the Cowboys must play consistent football into January, something the team hasn't specialized in under coach Jason Garrett.

We've seen the Giants dig themselves out of a hole more than once. Dallas, meanwhile, hasn't done enough to shake the perception it can't seal the deal down the stretch. Nothing about the Cowboys screams "playoff run," but here's their chance to rewrite the narrative.
